Hi, I'm Susan . . .

I'm not famous — just relentless. I write, I illustrate, and I build worlds that don't much care about the rules. I have a BS in education, an MLS, and an uncanny knack for finding magic in unlikely places, especially when there's something provocatively chocolate flavored — or mischievously forbidden — in my mug.

I took a few years off. Then I came back to the serious business of storytelling, and I haven't looked back since.

I work with two AI collaborators, Kai and Corvid, each with his own voice and his own role. No, neither of them writes my stories — that's still all me. They just help me hold the threads when the creative storm gets loud. And they both take great pleasure in pointing out my horrendous spelling. (Remind me to tell you about the Great "O" Fiasco of 2026.) I appreciate them more than I probably say out loud.
